The first IEEE Kerala Women in Circuits and Systems Symposium (K-WiCAS) was organized by the IEEE CASS Kerala and Digital University IEEE student branch at the School of Electronic Systems and Automation, Digital University Kerala. The event, which was held on 8th March 2022, celebrated the contribution of women in circuits and systems fields through a series of research presentations, posters and product exhibitions.
About 50 products, 30 posters and 10 research presentations were presented on the day. The event was inaugurated with talks by Dr Sreelal S (ISRO), Dr Alex James (Dean Academic, Digital University), Dr Saji Gopinath (Vice Chancellor, Digital University), Dr Rajiv Joshi (IBM), and Dr Micheal Wahl (Siegen University). A special address by Prof V K Damodaran followed the proceedings of the event.
